Don’t let the name fool you; the Adidas Runtastic app isn’t just for runners. This full-fledged fitness app features over 30 different workouts.
The workouts accommodate a variety of fitness levels and workout times. And you’ll have access to training plans as well.
You can upgrade to the Premium membership for $9.99 per month or $49.99 per year if paid annually. With the Premium membership, you’ll get access to more workouts, training challenges and more.
While this one isn’t free for adults, I had to mention it because I love the app so much. The Sworkit app shares free on-the-go and at-home workouts for kids. It’s nice to find a workout app with a kid-focused workout selection at no cost.
However, if you’re an adult, you’ll pay $9.99 per month or $59.99 per year to take advantage of everything on the Sworkit app.

The C25K 5K Trainer app is a free running app geared toward new runners. The website says the app will take you from couch potato to 5K runner in just eight weeks.
The workouts are 30 to 40 minutes long and start with walking and intermittent running to help you build up strength. You’ll run three times a week, and each workout includes a 5-minute warmup and 5-minute cooldown.
Once you’re well trained in the 5K app, you can move on to other C25K apps. Note that there may be costs for upgraded apps and features.
If you’re new to running, this could be the perfect running app for you. Man, I wish I would’ve had this app when I took up running at 40.
13. Nike Run Club
The Nike Run Club app will help you track vital information: pace, distance, elevation, heart rate and more. You can even track the miles you put on each pair of your running shoes.
And you can create a coaching plan that will help you reach all of your running goals. Also, you can compare and compete against other app users to gauge your progress.
Other features include in-run cheers from friends, encouragement from professional athletes and music playlists. The Nike Run Club app is free and doesn’t offer any paid upgrades at this time.
14. Strava Run App
The Strava running app calls itself the social network for athletes. Runners can record and track all of the usual information: distance, pace, elevation, heart rate, etc.

The 5 Minute Yoga app shares, obviously, 5-minute yoga workouts. This can be great for the busy person that wants to be able to get in short yoga workouts when possible.
The app says that sessions are created from a selection of poses that are effective yet simple. And while the poses can work well for experienced yoga enthusiasts, they still work wonders for beginners.
Workouts help with flexibility, strength training, toning and relaxation. The short time limit means they won’t be overwhelming to learn. And there’s a timer included on the app to ensure you stay on schedule. In-app upgrades are available.
18. Daily Yoga
Daily Yoga offers a small sample of free yoga workouts to all users. The choices contain six programs and 13 sessions. Included are a variety of fitness levels to the free selection of classes and sessions.
