Christmas 2021 recap

The remainder of the week was spent preparing for Christmas! The ladies had some mates over to embellish sugar cookies, and the remainder of the time was spent wrapping presents, prepping meals, and watching Christmas motion pictures. We spend Christmas eve at my dad’s home, and Christmas day is at our home with my mother’s facet of the household.

We had copious quantities of Mexican meals and sangria at dad’s whereas the cousins ran round and performed,
and we got here house to sprinkle reindeer meals within the entrance porch and set out cookies for Santa.

For brunch, we had tamales, beans, ham, egg casserole, cinnamon rolls, mimosas, and egg nog. In fact, Madre introduced an epic platter of Grammies and I set out a bunch of Christmas cookies to snack on all through the day. (My vacation baking technique: the 2 weeks main as much as every part, I bake cookies and freeze them. This fashion, I don’t must do a ton without delay and we’ve quite a lot of selection! After presents and brunch, everybody went house for a few hours to relaxation, after which got here again for spherical 2! We had surf and turf for dinner: filet mignon, BBQ salmon, lobster tail, crab legs, asparagus, salad, and rice.
Kyle seasoned the lobster and the Pilot grilled every part. It was AMAZING.

With all the good meals, my very favourite half was seeing everybody collectively. The cousins operating round and laughing is my favourite factor, and the canine cousins had a blast, too. 😉
