The north and the east municipal firms have prolonged the final date for availing the amnesty scheme for fee of property tax with 100 per cent waiver of each curiosity and penalty to February 15, officers stated on Wednesday.
The earlier final date for a similar was January 31.

Standing Committee Chairman of the North Delhi Municipal Company Jogi Ram Jain stated the NDMC has prolonged the final date for the primary section of tax amnesty scheme from January 31 to February 15.
He stated within the first section of the amnesty scheme, 100 per cent waiver of curiosity and penalty and 15 per cent rebate on principal quantity is being given to property tax payers on lump sum fee of excellent property tax.
Because of the weekend curfew amid the continuing Covid pandemic, residents weren’t in a position to reap the benefits of the primary section of the amnesty scheme, in view of which the final date for it has been prolonged.
Jain stated the company has began a three-phase amnesty scheme, including that if a citizen will not be in a position to deposit the excellent property tax within the first section resulting from any cause, they’ll reap the benefits of this scheme by depositing the quantity within the second and equally within the third section.
In the meantime, the East Delhi Municipal Company on Wednesday additionally introduced that it has prolonged the final date for availing the amnesty scheme for depositing property tax until February 15.
Earlier, the final date for this scheme was January 31. Beneath this scheme, within the first stage, 100 per cent rebate on curiosity and penalty can be given on deposit of excellent property tax.
