After “Globes” revealed final week that Zim Built-in Transport Providers Ltd. (NYSE: ZIM) had requested the Israel Tax Authority for a far-reaching discount in its tax legal responsibility, the corporate’s most important shareholder Idan Ofer has made clear that he has not been linked to the request.
In a press release to the media, Ofer mentioned, “I’m not concerned in Zim’s enquiry relating to the change within the tax assortment regime, if there was certainly such an enquiry. If I had been requested my opinion, I’d have instructed that Zim didn’t request a change within the tax assortment regime.”
Zim turned Israel’s most worthwhile firm in 2021 and started paying tax for the primary time in a few years. Through the years, the transport firm has not been paying tax as a result of it has gathered massive losses.
